A few bits I've noticed from the bombardment of stuff Amazon send me...

1. Amazon primeday (Amazon's own version of Black Friday) is coming up. The day itself is 11th July, but deals will be available from 6pm on the 10th. Details here: http://amzn.to/2tkjV2u To participate you need to be a Prime member, which brings me to:

2. If you're not an Amazon Prime user, you can get a free 30-day trial which will qualify you to take part and pick up anything that catches your eye. Get your trial here: http://amzn.to/2tkDYOp

3. Amazon are also pushing their Amazon Music unlimited service (40m+ tracks) and you can get a 4-month trial for 99p all in. I'm going to give it a go and see how it compares to Deezer which we currently use. 99p trial link: http://amzn.to/2tPYE1B

(Disclaimer: NSC will earn a small kickback should you buy any services from these links, but you will not be charged any more by Amazon for doing so)

I have had Prime subscription taken from my card, which I dont want. It was advertised with a 14 day free trial to watch Prison Break but when looking at it series 5 isnt included in the deal they wanted £1.89 per episode so I didnt take it up. If you have ever tried contacting Amazon you will realize that they do not wish to be contacted so make it as difficult as possible. I will wait until it is available for free or on Now Tv.

Well I ordered a fair chunk of items last Tuesday (via NSC link of course) and as the goods had still not been dispatched by Friday evening, cancelled them, joined Prime, and await Tuesday with baited breath! And yes, I will remember to cancel Prime after a couple of weeks - it's so easy to do so!

After reading your post I looked to cancel and it gave me 2 options cancel when the next payment is due or cancel now for a refund so I opted for that.

When I had a problem with an amazon delivery (the cardboard envelope was delivered with nothing inside - I'm not quite sure what the driver was doing) - I thought contacting Amazon would be a pain and my heart sank, but, surprisingly, I found it incredibly easy. They replied straight away and dispatched a new item immediately. I was very surprised how easy it was.

I have always found them great, I'm a prime customer. I can speak to someone they'll even call me rather than I call them. They're helpful, will always resend if there's any problems, free returns and if I've had problems with something they've replaced it even out of warranty.

How do u find Deezer?

Does all we need, I think.

We were on Spotify but one of our Sonos purchases came with free 12 months of Deezer so we swapped over to save c£100 over the year, but we've stuck with it ever since. There are a load of online utilities that can move playlists between services so there was no pain in that regard.

The range of music is very broad and it's very rare that we want to play something that's not on there. One example was "Ashes" by Embrace, so I just bought it from iTunes which enabled us to play it on the Sonos via phones etc, but I see that even that is on there now.

The flow option does a decent job of playing a mixture of stuff it knows we like and stuff it thinks we might like.

I'm not sure what Spotify or Apple Music would give us that Deezer doesn't.

Thanks for the reply....they have an offer on at the mo which i'm inclined to take advantage of and put my Apple package on hold.

I was hoping to get a deal for Kindle Unlimited, as it had been trailed at 25% for Prime Members, but there is no sign of it on the Amazon website

I'd been thinking of getting a Kindle Paperwhite anyway ahead of honeymoon so the free trial of Prime and subsequent discount seems like an obvious route

Took it for 2 years and they gave a 40% discount. Thanks very much, great value.

You both may be costing me a bit of cash here!

Has anyone tried the Kindle Voyager? I'm thinking of upgrading from the PaperWhite but unsure if it's much of an improvement.
