No Sussex game in this round, but some interesting stuff, on the festival / out-grounds.

25 wickets in a day yesterday at Cheltenham

And at Beckenham, Kent currently 483/1, partnership between Sean Dickson (235*) and Joe Denly (168*) now past 350!

Our game starts tomorrow at Arundel so 'technically' part of this round still

 Yes, that.

Kent now 500/1! Dickson 242*, Denly 177*

Edit:

Denly falls for 182, at 511/2.

Stand worth 382 :clap2:

701-7 declared.

There can't be too many teams who have gone past 700 with only two players passing 50

All 4 innings combined in the Glamorgan Gloucestershire game will be less than that Kent total, and Hampshire's against Surrey.

Indeed

By contrast, Hampshire are currently 573/5 with scores of 144, 104, 151* and 83

A bit way off but Sussex away to Glamorgan at Rhos-on-Sea August bank holiday week small ground might well stay over for a few days.

Bloody Worthing!
Nostalgia alert on Sussex out-grounds. I recall going to Hastings but not Worthing. Thus I missed NI Thompson's '10 for' at the latter. Worthing lost its 1st class status (Manor Ground, Broadwater Road) in the mid 60s, I believe.
Anyone ever seen a 1st class game at Worthing? I caught couple of very dreary 2nd XI games. Imran Kham turned out for Worthing when he was doing his Sussex residential qualification; he must have been a bit tasty with the ball!

The Gloucs/Glamorgan game could be over after 2 days!

Yep. All done and dusted, with the Gloucestershire second innings, presumably causing the ECB pitch inspector to pull a handbrake turn, halfway along the M4.

Glamorgan 117a/o
Gloucestershire 141 a/o
Glamorgan 158 a/o
Gloucestershire 137/0, win by 10 wickets
