Seaford Head Falls Again - Girl Missing

The site of these falls at splash point is where there was once an Iron Age hill fort and then there was a Roman occupation, both presumably a fair way inland in those times. How long before the A259 has to be moved inland west of Telscombe? Interesting to think that many years ago Brightonians used to live on land that stretched beyond the end of the Palace Pier (according to a local historian anyway).

My wife and I often walk on Seaford Head. There has been,for a long time, a huge crack in the path that leads along the top down to the Coastguard cottages . It was gradually widening and fairly apparent that at some point the cliff would break away and fall into the sea. It did not stop foolhardy souls from approaching the cliff edge, usually to have their photos taken. Luckily, no one hurt in these two latest incidents, but I fear there will be casualties in the future
