And his agent said this to Goal.

"“We have some offers from England, he wants to stay in England,”
“Newcastle is cold but pretty and the beaches in Brighton are beautiful as well and easily accessible from London."

Albion have made it clear , via various press outlets, they are after 3 senior keepers this season and hinted strongly that Walton is going out on loan (possibly to Wigan) .
"The club are pressing on with plans to have three senior goalkeepers in place by the time the Premier League kicks off."

Guess a senior , Prem experienced , keeper like Caballero fits the bill and the beaches are definitely beautiful.

No chance, he'll probably go to a club on the continent who are in Champions League. He'd want big wages and to be guaranteed first choice.

The Metro are the only ones reporting we have made an offer, I think they have misconstrued the beach comment. Chelsea are almost nailed on to sign him, and his agent was basically saying it is easy to get to Brighton from London Vs going to Newcastle which is pretty.

Good to see they are basing the decisions on footballing reasons........
