Looking at the fixtures, where do you see us picking up points?

This is obviously hard to predict so far in advance without having our fully assembled squad, but as a bit of entertainment where do you see us picking up points?

Looking at it rationally I count only 36 points on the board, come the end of the season. We will need a couple of results against the big teams to hit 40 points, but we can do it!

How many points do you count? ???

We only need 40 points next year not the 50 we have needed in the past, that's nearly 4 wins less, 10 wins is 30 so we could be there by Christmas so just need another 10 to be safe

Ridiculous post. You've based this on a series of predictions in which we pick up ZERO points home and away against all of the top seven, i.e. 14 defeats out of 14.

Just look at the season that's just finished. Off the top of my head, Burnley beat Liverpool and drew with Chelsea, Middlesbrough drew with Arsenal, Manchester City and Everton, Hull beat Liverpool and drew with Everton and Manchester United. I'm sure there were more examples too. Two of those teams went back down, so it just shows even the worst teams will still pick up a few points against the big boys.

There is literally no chance whatsoever that we will lose 14 out of 14.

Take your serious hat off for a minute and have a stab at your own predictions then! It's just a bit of fun, and no one will be hurt by posting a few predictions...

I did two predictions.

Doom and Gloom
In which we pick up no points home or away against the teams who finished last season in the Top 6 : 46pts

Ever the Optimist
In which we fare very well at home, OK on the road, and nick some points from last seasons Top 6 : 71pts

Based on last seasons table Doom and Gloom could have us finishing as high as 8th whereas Ever The Optimist puts us in 6th!

I've had a few stabs at it and my range of expected outcomes is 35-46 points. Gulp.
