My partner is looking for between 1500-2000 cardboard VR glasses to use as a giveaway at an exhibition she's putting on at the Royal Society.

She wants something like these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LQ1G67C/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

But the supplier does neither a volume discount, nor can they guarantee delivery by 30 June.

Has anyone bought (or sells, I guess!) such things?

TIA

Yes, I bought a pair on offer for about 90p a year or so ago. They are actually v good. They were from China though, and did take about 10 weeks to arrive. Pretty easy to set up, the 2 lenses are generally protective in cellophane and you slot those into the cardboard, fold it all up, stick your phone and and you're good to go.

Not sure how well they fit the bigger style phones though.

Bought one off ebay for £1.50 including free p&p about 18 months ago. What I saw at the time was very good and probably improved with more resources to download the VR imagery to play with.

Yeah, 10 weeks is about 8 weeks too late for her. If it weren't for that, they look a good option...

I've found these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3D-Virtua...Cardboard-Glasses-Helmet-Headset/291828368907 Swap to cardboard in the drop down menu.

Is this what you've got?

Thanks both for the help.

Yes. Everything included.
Also because they are open source, the patterns for you to print and cut out are on the web.
Perhaps find a local cardboard packaging printing and cutting company that can do the job. You will need to buy the magnets and lenses as well.

When I clicked on your ebay link it assumed I was in Germany and postage from UK is £7.95 .. don't know if that me or eby.

If you're looking to buy bulk you might want to look at Aliexpress
Its an outlet store I guess, where you buy direct from Chinese factories. Has just about everything and they do bulk orders on most stuff.
