Premier League newcomers Brighton have joined Liverpool in the race for highly-rated defender Simon Kjaer, according to reports in Turkey.
The Fenerbahce star's future has been under constant speculation for much of the summer window so far, with many of Europe's top clubs ready to lure him away from the Turkish Super League.
AC Milan and Liverpool were considered frontrunners in the race to land the 28-year-old, but may now face stiff competition from Brighton.
The Seagulls are looking to recruit heavily ahead of their first taste of Premier League football, and according to Fotomac, they are ready to table a £7.5m bid for the centre back.
Milan had a similar offer turned down in recent weeks, with Fenerbahce refusing to accept anything below their valuation for their star asset.
It remains to be seen whether Brighton can tempt the Turkish giants into selling the defender on the cheap, with Liverpool and Milan also not giving up the chase.
