Same here, despite I can’t remember ever hearing it before!

Going by internet comments, servicemen across the world who’ve lost colleagues in recent wars, adore the song for obvious reasons.

Good to see this thread bounced.

How I missed Lowlife in the late 80s is beyond me. They made 3 LPs but were always just out of synch with the zeitgeist. Sadly the singer died young in his 40s. They are well worth checking out - mountains of elegant songs. From chilly jockland.
