I thought that he may have corrected himself at the end of the forecast but he didn't and nor did the programme announcer.

My favourite waste of time and hopefully not taxpayers money is the BBC News Channel's weather forecast: bloke sweeps his hand across half the planet and says without so much as a hint that he's not being serious: 'Today there will be scattered showers across much of South East Asia, while Australia will remain mostly sunny'. Well, cheers a bunch for that.
