Bless him. RIP Noakesy.

He'll be having a pint in heaven with his dog jumping up and being told to "get dowwwn Shep"

Happy memories : and do they even sell "sticky back plastic" any more?!

Very sad to hear this. A real part of my childhood. When Shep died we all cried.

Sad news.....thats another bit of childhood gone. Assume Val Singleton and Peter Purves are still with us?

Sad. I was as a keen Blue Peter viewer. I always remember him dropping his trousers and showing the huge bruise he got on his arse and leg when his bobsleigh crashed. RIP

Blue Peter and Go With Noakes were 2 of my favourite programmes growing up.

Seems I am losing my childhood heroes rapidly now.

A sad day Indeed.

Blue Peter was the best kids program in my era, RIP

Still, if it is like Petra the dog, we may not have seen the last of him
