It might be our Achilles Heel.

There can be many strings to a striker's bow, but the one that has defenders reaching for their comfort blankets is raw, unadulterated pace.

Indulging them in a straight foot-race is bordering on the suicidal, so how else can you combat these speed demons? Fear not - Chris Hughton's got a few ideas.

I would like us to sign a speedy covering defender (left-sided) and a second striker with pace (Peter Vardy style) but who?

Second striker has got to be able to control the ball and be clinical (cuts out Abdoulay Diaby?) to at least give the opposition to worry about.

You have to be a wind-up. You HAVE to be.

There is no way on this earth that somebody can be so clueless. I was going to point out what was wrong with this but I can't even think of where to start.

Peter Vardy. Abou Diaby as a striker. Abou Diaby at all. I literally can't wrap my head around any of this.

Be honest, are you actually a mid '80s attempt at creating Articfle Inteligence that didn't work?

The U.S government created you as a trial run, fed you a bunch of keywords and sent you out in the field to see if you'd sink or swim but all you could say was "Will Buckley is fast, faster than Bruno in 2007. This deficit could see our central midfield being overrun if we played 4-4-2 against Tranmere?" so they gave up and went back to nuclear weapons?

I think he meant this bloke, not the former Arsenal player:

God knows who Peter Vardy is though,

Sadly not. Just a Judas with a rhino hide. Whether he thinks his "expert scouting" will repay the club the tens of thousands he cost them when they could least afford it, I don't know.

They say it takes a big man to forgive and forget. I am comfortable not being a big man in this case.
