Watching Celtic fans cream themselves with celebration like the unexpected has happened makes me kind of wish they were competing down here. Thoughts?

Why create another tier below the conference? Put them in the league of Wales.

Why not FFS ?
We have Welsh teams in the Premier League and English Football League AND an English team (Berwick Rangers) playing in the the Scottish Leagues.
Perhaps it would benefit football in both countries to have a couple of Scottish clubs competing on a level playing field with Englands best, not to mention that the atmosphere would be terrific against either Rangers or Celtic with a guaranteed 50/60,000 away crowd every time !

It will never happen because the Scots are terrified of losing their status as a seperate nation in FIFA hence their refusal to engage with the GB team at the Olympics. It would also cause massive problems with European qualification.

And before anyone says, "What about the Welsh?" the Welsh teams' participation in the English leagues sarted before the whole "4 international teams for 1 country" aggravation got serioulsy going and so is accepted as a relic of earlier times although it does mean that the best Welsh teams don't qualify for the Champions League.

The only thing that might be possible is some sort of British Isles Cup sponsored by UEFA which Celtic would win every year because they would try really hard and everyone else would enter their U15s.

Anyway, Hibs would be in the Rymans in about three seasons so it's a no from me.

No. However - I'm not against a British Premier League (BPL).

Here's what we do:

1. Turn EFL into four leagues @ 20 teams.

2. Throw Cardiff and Newport into the Welsh Premier. Swansea would go there when relegated from the BPL.

3. Reform Belfast Celtic using lottery money and set them up in the NIFL playing at Windsor Park.

3. Relegate 4 teams from BPL instead of 3.

4. Top 3 in EFL Championship promoted each year to BPL.

5. Winner of SPL, Welsh Premier, NIFL and Championship 4th - 7th play mini league plus final every May to take the additional spot in the BPL.

6. Take all European qualifying places from NIFL, Welsh Premier & SPL and give them to BPL so as most teams will qualify for Europe.

There we go. All sorted.

Phew. I think my foot might drop off now!

Why? Just because we have a border with them and not a sea, why? They are competing in their own monkey tennis league, why should they be in the ENGLISH football/premier league? In fact why should Cardiff, Swansea or Newport be in OUR EFL/EPL? Like most things in UK life they suck off of us and offer nothing in return.

Celtic and Rangers with premier league money would make it even more difficult for clubs the size of Brighton to hit the big time. It was very difficult for us anyway. If we hadn't have done it this season, who knows with FFP, parachute payments, when we would have competed again

So, basically, the SPL then?
