Getting to the Parade today by road?

Staying down with friends this weekend and wondered how close will we be able to get by road to the pier?

My friend has a motorbike and offered to ride in to avoid the traffic queues but im not sure how close we can get to madeira drive before the road closes so we can park up and walk the rest of the way to the pier to watch the begining?

Any advice most appreciated

Get off and push it.
Traffic will be diverted just before the seafront using the slip road before the round-a-bout in front of the pier, so you will be able to get very close on a bike. Cars will just be stuck in traffic.

Brilliant thanks. So you can drive down to harry ramsdens kind of area and park up there?

Thats on the corner of the roundabout by pier so thats where the road is shut no?

They're on a tandem so will be able to get to Harry's.
