Where's spence? Buried under the landslide, or washed away by the Tsunami sized Red Wave!

I like old spence, he comes across as deep down harmless to me, but I disagreed with him throughout on Trump.

It can happen to anyone, a NSC faux pas to be so certain about something, in his case a Red Wave winning this. Red Wave draining away down the plug hole.

He’s wasn’t the only emboldened Trump fanboy to get rather excited in these threads this week. Strangely, most of them seem to have had internet issues since about lunchtime yesterday.

Now look what you've done. I'm having to put up with his idiocy on the Brexit thread because of you

I avoid that zzzzz thread, so don’t know all the protagonists and their views. Yeah I know it’s incredibly important, but two groups insulting each other and posting tweets of their internet heroes is tiresome.

A famous NSC’er once said “.... involve a small group of people getting angry with each other, whilst absolutely no-one will attempt to see the other side, nor change their perspective”.

Alternatively, if he loses the election, all he needs to do is resign before the inauguration date in January, whereupon Mike Pence will become president for a short period, and be able to give Trump a pre-emptive presidential pardon for the crimes he’s accused of.

Mike Pence has designs on being President in his own right at some point in the future. He's unlikely to hamper that chance by a contrived pardoning of DT right at the end of a toxic term. Surely Pence right now is already plotting his next moves for his career - I'm not sure they'd include an act of sabotage for his own presidential chances.

I was thinking the same about moderate Republican congressmen and women, who were anti-Trump 4 and 5 years, but jumped on the partizan bandwagon when he won. I think the ambitious will soon distance themselves from the lame duck president and any attempts to gerrymander.

Can’t pardon state charges.

looks like the VAR of all VARs is on its way with a few recounts requested...

Most recounts move a race by 200-300 votes. He has asked for a recount in Michigan, where he is behind by 20,000.

We'd best start praying Hoops isn't sat on the Supreme Court then.

There is no way Trump is under any risk of being prosecuted. The sizable far right gun toting supporters would unleash mayhem and really would be like throwing lit matches on gasoline in terms of USA stability.

I believe that the New York DA has already started gathering evidence. There's also the Mueller report which concluded that there was justification for an obstruction of justice charge. I can see him weaseling out of the federal charges through immunity but the state ones may be harder.

I can't see the threat of violence being a factor here. Are you suggesting that the US justice system should stop prosecuting criminals if there a possibility of violence on the streets? It would be giving in to mob rule.

Fair to say he's acting pretty much as expected, bless him.

In some ways the long, drawn out process of counting and announcing the votes is frustrating, but prolonging the agony for Trumpo offsets that frustration [emoji23]

Funny bloke.

As said at the time serial wrong Spence coming out for Trump was the ray of hope I was holding onto.

I knew this would be close.
I knew Trump would be able to call his win.
I knew this would turn nasty.
I know Spence is always wrong.

Sleepy Joe has a lot to thank Spence for.

Completely agree. Been saying this for ages, it's just another Trump fear factor lie.

These gun toting idiots turned up at court houses complaining about the lockdown. Did they actually do anything? No. Well they shouted "USA" a bit, acted hard and posed for photos and then went home.

If they really fancied their chances against the best equipped military force on Earth then they would have had a go by now. They might be thick, but they're not that thick. Saying "ooh it'll kick off" wont keep Donny out of jail. Elaborate law loopholes and plea bargaining might, but not rednecks with guns.

I hope Spence comes back and says he was joshing. Go easy on him, even though he has exposed himself (ooh err) to 'incoming'.

The easiest thing to do would just be to look at his taxes and finances, everybody pays tax including Trumps most ardent supporters, if he has dodged tax then those supporters will peel a way pretty quick when they realise he's dodged his obligations. Once that happens the financial trail can be unpicked piece by piece.... i'm still wondering about the justification for paying an ex porn star $130,000 ?

Many many American's don't think like that, think like us.

Not paying taxes and 'getting away with it' is a badge of honour, that could actually win Trump support.
