Series of guesses mostly......with several omissions. For example would be surprised if Wenger is worth any less than Mourinho.

Deng is a superstar in the US.....

Luol Deng?

I wonder how many people have heard of this 'top' sportsman?

All relative to your localised cultural references tho eh? NFL comes to London most years and most random Londoners would be hard pushed to name what the individual players or even superstars even did for a living, let alone name them. About as alien to most folk as naming a member of Westlife. Or even one of their umpteen 'hits'. And as for basketball...

As far as I know, it is British sports men / women. What's rubbish about that?

My mistake - British, or work in Britain.

"The editorial decisions governing the compilation of the Rich List are published in the newspaper and online as its "Rules of engagement".[1]

The Rich List is not limited to British citizens and it includes individuals and families born overseas but who predominantly work and/or live in Britain. This excludes some individuals with prominent financial assets in Britain.

The editors estimate subjects' wealth from a range of public information, based on values in January each year. They typically explain their actions by stating: "We measure identifiable wealth, whether land, property, racehorses, art or significant shares in publicly quoted companies. We exclude bank accounts—to which we have no access... We try to give due consideration to liabilities."

Whilst people over here might not have heard of him, I'm guessing most would have heard of the teams he's played for. Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat & the L.A Lakers are probably the 3 biggest basketball teams out there when it comes to being a global brand.

In other words, it's a complete load of bollocks. Like all these Rich Lists. Utter guesswork and nonsense.
