The mighty Freo - purple heroes, one and all. A magnificent sport, second only to Football, of course. It's an annual tradition to have a few mates together for the grand final at the end of September, cracking open the beers at 5:30am - and generally back in bed asleep at 1pm

I miss the fighting, it's funny.
A few years ago 2 teams played a match at The Oval, it was a mass punch up from the first whistle and I think it was abandoned.
If anyone remembers that and can find some footage from You Tube I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

There used to be a series of games between Irish and Aussie teams playing Gaelic and Aussie rules.

I resisted for some time, but when I actually went to a game with someone who explained the rules, I find that I am getting into it.

Total yes and going to see Hawthorn v Geelong at the MCG was one of the highlights of my sport watching life. Amazing speed, toughness and skill.

Great sport to watch (Saw quite a few games on tv whilst living in Asia). Terrible vests they wear though.

I saw that (on TV) about twenty years ago. Complete carnage and chaos - brilliant!

This was a classic I attended back in 1996

Brilliant game to watch live (helps if you are sitting next to someone telling you what is going on), but still find it dull to watch on tv.
