Guessing this will take place once the season is over and everything is a mathematical certainty. In the past they have been great fun and an excuse to prolong the celebrations with a whole days drinking in Brighton and Hove.

Is the Southdown open top bus from the 1979 jolly still available? It would be rather fitting to celebrate with that.

When we got promoted to the old division one I think it was Hove a Town Hall ...cant remember if there was an actual buss ride...but I think that's where the team ended up

That's right. Seem to remember speeches etc from the balcony.

Been to the last couple. First was balcony of the council offices on the Drive (now sold off) with Bob Booker as Freddie Mercury. Then 2011 on Madeira Drive with Gus unforgettably singing 'we're f*king brilliant' but the terraces are now closed so if they did that route, the players would probably remain on the bus.
