As discussed on another thread, it's a horrible HORRIBLE northern monkeys song, sung by the likes of Burnley and Port Vale.

Don't ruin it now.

I remember Vale singing it on their one happy day, in a mid 90's match at the Goldstone, where they were promoted.

Hudd and Weds also sing this northern tripe, prematurely, with nowt decided.

Since when, seeing as it has been sung all over the country, including by teams like Bristol and alike and even by our fans in the past so why is it now considered a northern chant only?

Absolutely correct, we've sung this before and it concluded with the traitorous refrain "Larry Boyd is King!"

The lady has foolishly attempted to join the conversation with a wild and dangerous opinion of her own. What half-baked drivel! See how the men look at her with utter contempt.

I HATE that song. Please let it fall into history and not be sung at the Amex.

IMHO, whenever we sang it we let a goal in within 2 minutes...
This is the first time in our history we have been able to sing it.

With the words 'football league' yes, but the point is pleeeeeeeeease no-one sing 'we shall not be moved' whenever the Albion are anything less than 5 - 0 up.

Nightmare song in the past for heralding an almost immediate goal for the other side...Shudder...

I don't know what it is about that e-i-e-i-o chant exactly, but it I really can't abide it.
