I asked that months ago but, reading between the lines of that story, it seems that the PL has tougher criteria than the FL. But it's not very clear as the story says that it was the FA who stopped the last bid

The other thread about this subject , Reading heading for intetesting times ,suggests that even if Reading win the play offs the Prem League will not accept them if the take over goes ahead.
