Even though the club's wage bill increased by a third, we were still a long way behind other clubs who had the benefit of parachute payments. It shows what an amazing job CH did to get us so close to promotion. Championship 2016 by Wages.JPG

We've been pretty unbelievable with this, since moving to the Amex. Pretty certain every year (bar Hyypia obv) our league position has been way ahead of our comparative wage bill.

Thank you. CH over achieving, based on the generally regarded positive correlation between payroll cost and final league position.

The 2016/17 figures will alter a great deal. Ŵednesday have spent £30m in the last three transfer windows on player fees, plus expensive loanees. The likes of Fletcher, Bannan and Rhodes would command massive wages. Huddersfield a similar case. With the huge cost bases of Newc, Norwich and Villa.
