He didn't fall at the first fence, he was brought down. For the uninitiated that means that another horse fell and knocked him over. No consolation if you, like me, lost money, but it wasn't the horse's fault.

Yep £5 each way lost in seconds. My other horse led until about the last four fences. Oh well, Newcastle and Huddersfield made me smile in consolation.
