He had good technique. He just seems to have not realised he should be aiming for the sides of the keeper.

On a side note, Skalak must be furious that he gets a chance and he isn't taking set pieces, when he's only really in the side for that reason,

That Dunk free-kick that dipped wickedly just in front of the keeper in the first half was a bit decent. Always assuming that's what he meant it to do.

I thought it is something that is worth developing. Has good dip on the ball, just needs to add a bit more power. Its not like anyone else has been pinging them in the net from that range is it so worth a try.

Technique is spot on, gets the ball up and down very quickly, if he could aim either side of the keeper he'd be a huge threat. Shows some confidence that's for sure.

It's a free kick that Kane and Ronaldo love. If it goes either side of the keeper it's awful to control, if it hits he keeper it often bounces out (to Baldock if he was playing), or if you don't get it quite right it looks shite.

and yet they were still 2 of the best free kicks taken this season.

He should have lined up for the first one with it looking like Knockaert would take it, as the keeper wouldn't have expected Dunk to.

He got on target, dead centre, easy for the keeper. Circa 15mph.

Leave it to the specialists.

As kicking the ball high over the bar, or 10 foot wide is a massive improvement.

At this stage of the season. Please just go with what we do best. knocky. His free kicks tend to cause problems.

Having seen the goalkeeper's handling earlier (Perhaps to do with the sun in his eyes) an attempt at a dipping freekick with strikers waiting to pounce wasn't a bad one. Presumably he'd been working on it in training, fantastic if he could add it to his game. Knocky/Skalak probably suited to ones slightly closer and less central.

Both were perfect for a straight shot rather than a curl as they were the best distance out. Any closer it would have been one of the other two taking it I'd imagine. And as I said earlier, even if it's dead centre the bounce in front of the keeper could cause trouble if you had anyone other than Akpom looking for the rebounds.

They were both rubbish, easier for the keeper than a back pass.
