Sounds as though the suits have taken over - I note that while the club made such a handsome profit, the cricket team sat rooted to the bottom of the second division. Cause/Effect?

They've done well to get even there. The smaller counties are most vulnerable. I'd hate to see an old county go.

Our opponents on Friday night were formed by connections to Derbyshire CCC to raise money for the cricket club and give supporters and players something to do in the winter.
