Stockdale - 7 - had little to do. What he did have, he did well. Al Habsi made him look like Neuer
Bruno - 8 - makes the game look effortless
Duffy - 8 - immense. Great clearance off the line
Dubnk -7 - solid and no booking
Pocognoli - 7 - quietly effective
Sidwell - 7 - did well (did you see what I did). Great at breaking up play
Stephens - 8 - bossed the midfield
Murphy - 9 - MOTM - goal, assist, boom
Knoockeart - 8 - looked well up for it
Baldock - 8 - great goal. Glad he stayed on his feet. Lively throughout
Murray. - 7 - strong, held it up well and did his job defending from the front

Hemed - 7 - two superb first touches
Akpom - 6
Tomori - 6

Hughton - 10 - faultless selection and tactics

Hard to argue. Stephens near his best today, probably Murphy's best game for me too.

The Troubadour
Hughton got the tactics spot on and every player executed their role excellently today.

Team performance from top to bottom today .

Reading tried to play their way but were totally nullified.

Great day

Stockdale 7, did what he had to do
Bruno 9, fantastic again, not sure I ever give him less than this
Poco 8 also very good
Dunk 7 solid
Duffy 9 immense
Stephens 9 - dominant, as ever
Sidwell 7, hardworking, as ever
Murphy 9, impressed, deserved MOM
Knockaert, 8, at last a goal to go with his trickery :)
Baldock 9. A new player with his goals,
Murray 7, led the line well

Me: 10, very happy indeed

Stockdale -7- called upon when needed
Bruno -7- good performance , got forward well too.
Duffy -9- not only his goal line clearance but his towering header set up our 2nd
Dunk -8- organised the defence well
Pocognoli -6- did his job
Knockaert -8- STILL shocks me every game when he gets away from 3 or 4 players
Sidwell -7- got in amongst them but first touch was poor on a few occasions
Stephens -9- he was everywhere tonight
Murphy -9- MOTM - Goal was calm and collected and he was good defensively too . Won interceptions and got us going forward with his direct play
Baldock - 9- great touch for his goal and unlucky hitting the post . Pressurised Reading all night
Murray -7- held it up well when needed too

Hemed -7- couple of brilliant touches bringing it down out of the air
Tomori -6- did well
Akpom -6- could have been in if he anticipated a bit more

Hughton -10- did his homework , stopped Reading playing and had the team well drilled

People who know I am massive Jamie Murphy fan and I am loving the recognition he got tonight; however he does this most matches. His defensive qualities tonight were even better than his offensive ones.

The difference tonight was that his offensive ones ''bore fruit''.

Cant remember who it was on here who said that his little lad was a Jamie Murphy fan. I hope he is enjoying tonight like I have

Good to see Murphy have a good game. I've been quite critical of him recently but he did very well. Duffy was immense again though; MoTM in my eyes.

Murray looked out of sorts again to me though. I know we won 3-0 so won't pay too much attention to it, but his performances have dipped since he signed permanently.
