One happy side effect (to that very bitter pill)

As I was a-prematchdrinking in Lincoln yesterday afternoon, I was struck by, and cheered by, the number of kiddies, boys and girls, all togged out in their shiny new hats, gloves, and Lincoln kits on their way to the big game. The four young lads (6/7-ish) on the table opposite me in the pub were so excited! Many new lifelong football love affairs will have been spawned this weekend. That can only be a good thing.

Yep, a club on the up will always attract new fans. Good for them.
