Maenpaa 7 - Did well, unlucky with the injury.
Tomori 3 - Not great.
Goldson 5 - Not great, but not protected by either fullback finding himself down the right a lot.
Hunemeier 4 - Rusty.
Adekugbe 4 - Not great.
Skalak 4 - Drew fouls. About it really.
Norwood 5 - Annonymous.
Sidwell 5 - Annonymous.
March 6 - Some good trickery and runs, no end product.
Towell 7 - Great goal and played well. MOTM
Murray 5 - Good assist, conceded the penalty and after that looked like he couldn't be arsed, much like everyone else.

Ankergen 4 - No attempt to save either of the two open play goals.
Hemed N/A
Murphy N/A - made some good direct runs when he came on, which is what we were lacking.

Murphy should be the starter on the left in league games for the time being. March is too hit and miss at the moment.
And Skalak isn't great at all at the moment.
Maybe also drop Murray for Hemed for a few games, as he seems to be hitting a bad patch of form.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Everybody OUT.

On the bright side we did actually score 2 goals so I am claiming it as a technical draw. When is the replay?

Lincoln player ratings

Maenpaa 6: Couple of decent saves in first half and good on crosses
Goldson 4: Has gone backwards alarmingly this season. Petulant throwing the ball away in injury time showed immaturity to add to a poor performance.
BFC 4: Appallingly casual for their third goal, other than that looked competent against non league opposition
Tomori 2:poor yellow in first half for being slow, OG under zero pressure embarrassing and after that visibly ran away from the ball when it went near him
Adekugwe 4: Skinned a few times in first half and generally casual
Norwood 5: Ok with short balls but failed to dominate CM
Sidwell 4: Started slowly, and got slower
Skalak 3: Disinterested, put no effort in until rightly subbed
March 7: Lincoln defence terrified of him, but not given enough of the ball
Murray 5: Wily flicked header for the goal, unnecessary shirt pulling for the penalty. Have seen them given before and there was no pressure on him to do it from an aimless ball.
Towell 5: Very assured finish for the goal, a bit flat footed at times and became more peripheral as match wore on.

Subs
Ankergren 4: Cant kick, did nothing else apart from pick ball out of net. No shout to Tomori for the OG.
Murphy 6: Keen to drive at the Imps defence, far better than Skalak, but I suspect my dad would have been too, and he died in 1989.
Hemed 5: Meh

Overall we coasted the first half and should have seen the game up. Penalty lifted Lincoln and good luck to them, but not their Stone Island chavs who were out for a scrap pre match.

That's what I said when we scored four goals to Liverpool's three in 2012. Classic own goals (Dunk take a bow) seem to haunt us in the cup!

Why NA for Hemed & Murphy from first two posters? Both played around 30 mins and sounded heavily involved on the radio commentary.
Any suggestions as to reason for Towell withdrawal if he was our best player? He took the goal really well. Surely he was worth a full match?

Both Hemed and Murphy were ok. Maybe 6s.

Not sure why Towell taken off but looked most up for it

Hunemeir was awful, passing completely off point today. Tomori - oh dear, what was he doing. Towell looked good, March showed promise and Murray was up for it until he conceded the penalty.

Maenpaa - didn't have much to do before going off injured.

Tomori - 3
Goldson - 4
Hunemeir - 2
Adekugbe - 5

March - 7
Sidwell - 6
Norwood - 5
Skalak - 4

Towell - 7
Murray - 5

Ankergren - hasn't played for years, he's the youth team goalkeeping coach, past it
Hemed - did nothing
Murphy - 6 few good runs but no end product.

Embarrassing and ashamed.

Performance failures of the full backs pales in to insignificance compared to some of their more 'senior' colleagues. A half performing Solly March knocked spots off the rest and Towell put in a good shift.
