Worked in Lewes between 2005 - 2012, I drove past that site twice a day and genuinely wet my pants every single day. We have come such a long way since Buckley scored that 97th min winner

Really? Have you also led 30 years of almost unblemished heterosexuality (to reprize a faux pas by one of the contestants on 'Fighting Talk')? :lolol:

Stupid plan, they'll never fill it. One season with 16,000 and then season after season of 6,000 or less, Barber OUT

No saturday 3pm games and overpaid mercenaries?

Okay, even fewer Saturday 3pm games!

Nonsense

We're on TV all the time at the moment because we are high in the table. If that is still the situation if we go up, I will be very pleasantly surprised.

Exactly - people have always gone on about this 'no 3pm Saturday games' in the Prem. We'd be way down Sky / BT's wish-list in the top division, and would be largely let to our own devices. For context, didn't Norwich play something like 16 of their 19 home games last year at 3pm on a Saturday?

Jack Straw's weekly updates - 'Jack Straw's Falmer Watch' - were epic.

Every Friday we would wait with bated breath for the next installment of our stadium rising from the man with the ladder.

The Jack Straw specials were superb too, like when he got wind of the fact that part of the arch was in a massive lorry park somewhere up the A23, and he went chasing it just to get the images of it arriving.

Above and beyond the call of dooty.
