As far as R&R is concerned, back in the 60s didn't we play QPR on Boxing Day at their place and then at our place a day later? Are all 'men' to brittle to play football nowadays?

Correct.

At Easter there were three games in four days. Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday.
