What TV connection do I need for an Xbox 360 to work? Mr Google is being less than helpful on this and keeps giving me links to how to use an Xbox to watch TV, not how to get an Xbox working.

What I want to know is whether a working TV - that's not connected to anything - will enable my son to play games. And if not, what would be needed to make it work?

Provided it is not a very old model before they had hdmi as standard.. That's unlikely though.

How old is it? Older 360's (like mine) used a scart to component lead but newer models are hdmi.

Just hook up the HDMI to the tv and power everything up.
Change your TV channel to the HD channel, presumable by pressing he 'source or input' button on the remote.
