I measure low temperatures in Centigrade and high temperatures in Fahrenheit.

I measure my height in feet, my waist in inches but my weight in kilos.

I measure long distances in miles but short ones (anything less than half a mile) in metres, centimetres and millimetres. The exception being if I am riding my bike in which case I measure in kilometres.

The weather people still dramatise by doing extremes in whichever sounds worse, "It will be minus 5" when a tad fresh but a sweltering "98 degrees" when warm. Weird.

More to the point. I couldn't give a flying f**k how much your baby weighs.

Canada has a weird mixture of imperial and metric. I guess most of it comes from the US. People weigh themselves in pounds, and height is feet and inches. Drink comes in weight which is utterly ridiculous. If I want a pint I have to ask for 20oz. Distance is measured in kilometres though.
