That you don't actually have to type www. into the web address bar at the top of the browser.

Must have saved myself about 57 seconds overall this year. Well happy!

I've got an old machine sat next to me that I've been meaning to wipe and chuck a Linux distro on, primarily for use as a server but also so I can finally get around to tooling around with Linux.

Andy Kershaw always insisted on saying world wide web rather than www.

He claims it's the only abbreviation where it's quicker to say the actual words. He's right as well.

Linux has turned a nearly 10 year old laptop that was barely working at all on Vista into a machine that feels like I've just bought it new from the shop. I'm gobsmacked at the difference!

I've not timed it, but I reckon it'd be quicker not to say either.
