I'd have thought they'd be plenty of youngsters willing to look after the doors, for Merseyrail, assuming a shellsuit is their current uniform.

No bloody trains for 6 weeks after Christmas on Merseyrail so I won't know if they are on strike or not.

There's always the ferry. Unless it breaks down again.

The DLR will really freak him out if he doesn't agree with the underground system !!

Was on the DLR this evening thinking the very same.And to think there was talk of Brighton having an aerial monorail-presumably also driverless.Would now give it another 100 years.

But it's all about job protection, heaven forbid a unionised industry may have to retrain.
