Technology just keeps getting better in advancing people's lifestyle.
We are living longer than ever before.
The internet means world knowledge is better than ever before.
And we haven't had a world war for 71 years.

Can it get better or is it only downhill from now on?

Ask again this time next year, if we're still all here..

The day of England 4 Holland 1 was probably the best time to be alive overall.

It all went downhill for me around 11 o'clock last night after our staff Christmas do. OUCH!

Hell no. The baby boomer generation had it much better. Affordable housing, a job market you could get into easily, free education, the ability to retire before you die with a decent pension...the list goes on.

But no internet.
Low cancer cure rates and much lower life expectancy. I'd take now over then.

im not sure technology is a good thing at times and I'm sure life was better and stress free in years gone by.....Many good and many bad but would say for most life is far far tougher now financially and for youngsters it's as hard as it gets with social media and lack of jobs to contend with.
For most adults it's a financial battle and many people certainly don't smile as often....

Many pros and cons to be fair in general :)

You would replace the ability to have a house and a stable well paid job and a future for the internet!?

The internet allows the nation to pay attention to nothing, attention spans have never been shorter, you go to a football match, the theatre, to a gig, walk down the road and all people are doing is looking at this little square in their hand and actually seeing nothing at all. Absurd, Charlie Brooker state of affairs.

I'm not sure I hugely applaud effects of the developments, as they're called, that allow us to go through all of this for so much longer. I'd love to watch the Albion interminably, but, by god, I don't want to stretch out my dilapidation by another 20 years for when it should have been.

No, life's rubbish now! Take me back to the late 60s/early 70s, post pill and pre aids! I didn't creak so much back then either!
