Am I right in thinking that last year's Championship clubs will have had to submit their FFP accounts by last Thursday, with potential embargoes imposed before Jan?

Only done a very rough, simplified estimate, but I can't see how Derby will be within the 13m limit for last season. They made a 5.5m FFP loss in 14/15 but transfers totalled around 25m last year, so assuming 3-4 years contracts, that's around an extra 7m amortisation. Add in some of the huge wages that they'll have been paying new players (16 in total) and I estimate they'll have gone over 20m. Annoyingly, Middlesbrough will have probably overspent a similar amount and there's nothing that the EFL can do about it.
