Tried the Halfway a few years back , nice pub sky sports ect good grub too .

Queen's Vaults is a nice traditional pub that usually has sport showing, its on Westgate Street, behind the Millennium Stadium between the stadium & the town centre. CF10 1EH if that helps.

Cardiff used to be a fearsome place to visit when they played at Ninian Park 15 years ago. Seems to have really calmed down there now. Pubs are generally safe in the city centre.
