Bruno has revealed when he plans to hang up his boots – as he aims to break his own all-time Albion record.
The Seagulls skipper is preparing for a 66th successive start in league and play-offs when Fulham visit on Saturday.
He is already the oldest outfield player to complete an ever-present season for the club in their 115-year history and is almost halfway towards doing it again.
Now he has told The Argus he will call it quits when he stops enjoying the highly disciplined off-field lifestyle which fuels his on-field feats.
And that day is not on the horizon just yet.
In The Argus today,*the 36-year-old right-back speaks in depth about his sleep routine, his diet, the family background which is fundamental to his clean-living style and his self-imposed social media curfew.
He said: “I know sometimes sacrifices can be hard because you need to live your life a little bit.
“But, for myself, it’s a lifestyle and it’s not hard to do it.
“If I am playing football, it’s because I want to do everything right.
Bruno became Albion’s oldest ever-present since goalkeeper Reg Williams in 1927-28 when he started every game last term.
The Seagulls are expecting another bumper crowd for Fulham’s visit.
Scott Parker, who is 12 days younger than Bruno, could earn a recall to the visitors’ midfield.
