Festive cheer came and a star-studded line-up to south east London on Thursday as Croydon switched on its Christmas lights.
Crystal Palace manager, Alan Pardew, captain, Scott Dann, and Croydon’s Mayor, Councillor Wayne Trakas-Lawlor, made an appearance on stage at North End. In a joint effort with X Factor 2015 finalists, Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, they illuminated all Christmas decorations set up across the town.

Phats and Small, famous for their hit "Turn Around", got the crowd into the party mood ahead of the countdown in East Street, Brighton, last night.
Comedian Steve Coogan switched on the £75,000 seasonal display to cheers from the audience as it illuminated the city centre.
