Glenn Murray has hailed Albion's home draw with Aston Villa as a "good result".
The Seagulls' goalscorer was impressed by the visitors and believes they will inadvertently assist the automatic promotion prospects of Chris Hughton's side.
Murray said: "We knew Villa were going to be a good, strong side and they proved everything we thought.
"Reflecting on the game I think a point was a good result and I think they will take points off a lot of good teams in this division in the future.
"You have got to give credit to them. They sat in, they counter-attacked and did their job. We tried but it wasn't to be."

Murray's crisply struck equaliser from outside the area on the stroke of half-time was the 150th English League goal of his career and his tenth of the season, all of them at the Amex.
"It was allright, one of few outside the box," he said. "I'm not too fussed about it being my 150th, I just want to get as many as I can this season.
"It was a good team goal. Me and Sam (Baldock) especially linked up really well. It just shows how far our partnership has come."
