Combined with the brilliant array of stats about Australian cricket, this has made for a pretty decent week so far.

Waiting patiently for one of the unwashed to turn up on this thread as all they do is watch us and wish they could play too.

So pound-for-pound, Palace are officially the LEAST competitive team in England this year. Even worse than Aston Villa and Bolton, who's shitness was frankly LEGENDARY last season.

Good work.

That is a great stat, hence worth quoting very often.

Would be interested to see what ours was and where that places us in the league of all clubs?

Stats are great. I've trawled through the results to see where they'd 'earned' their points, they've got 11 so it took quite some time.

Currently sitting 16th (on goal difference)

Points breakdown
Drew with Bournemouth at home (13th)
Beat Stoke at home (12th)
Beat Middlesbrough away (15th)
Beat Sunderland away (20th)
Drew with Everton away (7th)

Opposition position :)
They've played 11 games
7 are against teams in the bottom 10, where they've taken 10 points out of 21
4 are against teams in the top 10, where they've taken 1 point out of 12

Your stats are WRONG, as you are only accounting for the 11 points from 11 matches THIS season.

You are not giving them their due credit for amassing a whopping 11 points from just 19 matches between January and May.

Ah yes, the 2016 bit eluded me a bit. I have been keeping a beady eye on their progress this season and realised last week that there points were only from bottom half teams, I hope they can manage 8 further games without a point, to get them back into their stride from last season's 2016 results. They have to play City, Utd and Arsenal so that looks good. Although Swansea (twice) and Hull might be a bit easier...
