A new and trailblazing virtual reality experience at Brighton & Hove Albion's American Express Community Stadium will take supporters closer to the action than ever before.

Fans will get the chance of an up-close-and-personal view of player warm-ups, they'll find themselves inside the tunnel just as the players step out onto the pitch, and put fans at the heart of a goal celebration.

This experience is the first of its kind in this country and following a successful launch in the club's fanzone at the recent home match against Norwich City, will be exclusively available within the family stand at the stadium for all home games, starting with the Friday night match against Aston Villa on 18th November.

The brand-new technology is part of a renovated family stand concourse at the Amex, putting the experience at the forefront of stadium innovation.

Other features in the new-look family stand include new artwork, stretching the length of the stand on the concourse wall, featuring interactive quizzes, a replica dugout, photo opportunities and a batak-wall reaction game.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s head of marketing, Tom Gorringe said, "We are always looking at ways to improve the matchday experience at the Amex. We are proud of our reputation as providing the best experience in the EFL and it's our aim to offer new and exciting opportunities to fans of all ages.

"The virtual reality experience is completely unique. All of the footage was shot live at a match and it takes you into the heart of the action to places that fans wouldn’t be able to go.

"The other aspects of the stand are interactive and in some aspects, educational, and so we hope that this will prove extremely popular with our supporters."

Since its opening, the Amex has been popular with junior supporters with over 100,000 under-16s attending a game. The club also offers a junior membership scheme which currently has over 15,000 members.

If you would like to experience the new virtual reality offering at the Amex, tickets for the family stand can be purchased at www.seagullstickets.com. Please note that adults must be accompanied by a junior to gain admittance to the stand.
