Brighton & Hove Albion’s virtual reality experience takes supporters behind the curtain on a matchday.
An up-close look at player warm-ups, the tunnel, and even putting you at the heart of a goal celebration - this experience is the first of its kind in this country. Following a successful launch in their fanzone, the experience will be exclusively available within the family stand at the Amex Stadium from their match with Aston Villa on 18th November.

This will form part of a renovated family stand concourse at the Amex, putting the experience at the forefront of stadium innovation. There are also numerous other features in the stand, including some interesting stats, interactive quizzes, photo opportunities and a reaction game.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s head of marketing, Tom Gorringe said: “It is important for us to be doing all we can to improve the experience here at the Amex for all supporters, but particularly our younger fans. Having been at the stadium for five years, we wanted to give the family stand a bit of a face-lift and were interested in how we could use innovation and technology to do this.

“The VR experience created is unique in the fact that all of the footage was shot live at a match and it takes you into the heart of the action to places that you wouldn’t normally be able to go. The other aspects of the stand are interactive and in some aspects, educational, and so we hope that this will prove extremely popular with our supporters.”

Since its opening, the Amex has been popular with junior supporters with over 100,000 under-16s attending a game. The club also offers a junior membership scheme which currently has over 15,000 members.

If you would like to see the action for yourself, tickets for the family stand can be purchased at www.seagullstickets.com. Please note that adults must be accompanied by a junior to gain admittance to the stand.
