You do realise some 400 000+ more people found employment in 2017 than 2016 and you are citing an anecdotal 2000 jobs as if it is a relevant indicator above the 400 000+.that found employment.

No doubt the 2,000 jobs that are going are well paid tech savvy ones, almost certainly not hospital cleaners. we keep shedding GOOD jobs, ie. well paid jobs that people work hard for and aspire to. Did you notice how the supermarkets are all shedding 0,000's of middle management jobs ?

Its quite easy, there was 400000+ extra people employed in 2017 compared to 2016 and you are talking of your UK ancedotal 2000 job losses as if this is a represention of whats happening in the employment market, you couldn't post that knowing those employment facts surely.

Floating the idea, where was that then, we know lot's of teachers from different schools and never not once has this been mentioned, I am sure if I googled it there would be some union rabble rouser spouting drivel that you would love, but it isn't happening and never was.

I know a few teachers some very militant. None have mentioned this, I'm sure they would have done though if true

I dont know what you're talking about and it's clear nor do you.

I think Vegster mentioned how schools were due to go on a four day week and how you guy's loved it, I just mentioned that my wife is a headteacher and she hadn't heard on person mention that in her whole time of teaching, just a couple of quoted extremist teachers somewhere, so just lies really.

I'm surprised your wife's school seems to have no financial problems ? is it a private school ? Are they aware of the WorthLess Campaign or is there some 1970's bubble around her school ?

Mrs. V's school is set to lose their ECAR and ECC specialist interventions for English and Mathematics due to budget cuts, My daughters husband is a caretaker at a major Worthing secondary school and they are going to shed senior teaching jobs in April. Just to re-iterate my much earlier post, schools are considering merging classes and 4 day weeks in an effort to cope with budget shortfalls. Hope this helps ?

State school and no four day weeks ever mentioned, there are some restructuring of roles which is money saving and put some added pressures on staffing levels, my wife perhaps is worth more money but I would say that, each classroom has 20-30 ipads for each pupil and seems well resourced, absenteeism from staff is becoming a problem usually stresses of the situation is cited, not so sure though as tends to be regular individuals that dont make it in.

So yes would be nice to have more money but unless you are in school you would think our schools have become third world environments,, they really havent.

I'm unsurprised by staff being signed off due to stress, turnover of NQT's is quite high too mostly because when they get a new post they find out how unsupported they are.
