Kayal and Stephens.... Come January

It's grim oop north
With neither (alarmingly) looking like agreeing a new contract just yet, what happens come Jan transfer window?

Obviously both will attract generous offers, probably reduced somewhat from actual value due to short contract time remaining.

Do we play hardball as per Stephens recently and keep them both here regardless and against there will if need be.....Hope they both perform well and whatever happens end of season they then both possibly leave on free's.

Or sell up and effectively ruin any chance of going up but bank some multi millions from the sale?

Btw this seems a good place to say Kayal has said on Instagram that he is 'well & looking forward to the next game' :)

Or, you let them run down their contracts whilst helping us to get promoted and then we negotiate a contract for them in the premiership!

Didn't Kayal say something in his latest interview on seagulls player about hopefully fans hearing news about his contract situation soon ?

Or perhaps I hallucinated that part.

Cool. Looked to me like he got a kick on the achilles - he thought he'd done some serious damage (he immediately waved to the bench) but after that was just a bit sore.

Saw it the same. Probably could have carried on but wasn't risked & it worked out just fine :)

Think we've set our stall out pretty clearly now. We'll lose them both in the summer for nothing if we don't get promoted mind.

If the clubs that bidding are looking at relegation come January then they wont go. Bigger clubs I can not see bidding. If we are up at the coal face (Come Jan) then maybe they will sign again with us. If they go for the money from lower premiership clubs then they flirt with the risk of being back in the Championship. Agreed, they will be on a more lucrative private contract but hey, surely they have more ambition than that? If not they label themselves as football mercenaries and don't value their own potential.

For FS. Why are you worrying about January when we are not out of September yet , get a grip

Absolutely! What is the matter with the OP that he seems unable to just embrace the fact that we are playing well, everyone is happy and were a couple of points adrift from the top. Why do peeps need to depress themselves unnecessarily?

You either don't care about the Albion or you simply don't understand football

Kayal and Stephens signing new contracts is the most important thing that could happen to us this season

🙈 The Kayal and Stephens partnership will decide our season and our future. They are both out of contract. If this doesn't worry you, you are either not an Albion fan or you are an idiot!
