What a wonderful team performance! Not a weak link out there today.

Stockdale 6. Didn’t have much to do except for one very good save.
Bruno 8. Great.
Dunk 8.Superb.
Duffy 8. Looks like a very good acquisition.
Bong 7. Best performance since back from injury. Almost back to last season’s form. Shame he’s suspended for Tuesday’s game. Silly and unnecessary booking. And what a pass to start the move for the first goal.
Kayal 8. Excellent. Great pass for the first goal. Hope injury not too bad.
Stephens 8. Back to his best. Very good performance.
Knockaert 9. Some exquisite stuff from him including beating three men to set up first goal and another dribble which earned him a standing ovation. But was guilty on a few occasions of holding on to the ball too long. MoM
Skalak 8. Best I’ve seen from him. Looked really up for it. Wonderful free kick for second goal.
Hemed 7. Good, but a little slow at times.
Murray 8. Very well taken goals. Could have had another couple. A little greedy at times when looking for his hat-trick.

Bruno 8 -- just sublime
Dunk 7.5 -- imperious
Duffy 8 -- looks great. Half a point taken off for that header he took off Dunk's head.
Bong 7 -- best performance I've seen from him this season. Have a rest on Tuesday, and then sort Wednesday out on Saturday.
Knockaert 9.5 MotM -- ten for that first half performance in which there were four or five runs and/or dribbles that were worth the admission fee alone. The best player in the Championship.
Kayal 7.5 -- great pass for a stunning team goal; influential, hope that isn't a serious injury
Stephens 8.5 -- oozes class
Skalak 6 -- decent effort, but still too lightweight
Hemed 6 -- some good touches; still not convinced about him and Murray
Murray 7 -- scored two, but should have had at the very least one more. Was offside too much.

Norwood 7.5 -- decent performance; glad he came on at that point
Baldock 6 -- good movement and industry; was disappointed that he didn't hold on to the ball for longer in that breakaway, as that would have exposed their defence
Sidwell n/a

Ref: rubbish first half
CH 9 -- got it right, although Elvis was really unlucky not to make the 18; I hope his back in for at least one of the Ipswich and Sheff Wed games

It's a game of opinions, but, to my mind, Knocky wouldn't be half as good without his partnership with Bruno. Watch the game again, Bruno was imperious today, probably his best performance so far this season

Stockdale 7 - not a lot to do but one excellent save from a very, very hard shot.
Bruno 8.5 - Consistantly class
Bong 6 - Better but still a bit shakey - he & Skalak got done a few times 2nd half
Dunk 9 - immense
Duffy 9 - immense
Stephens 8.5 - bossed it today. Only criticism gave them too much space 2nd half backing off.
Kayal 8.5 - he & Stephens controlled it first half
Skalak 7.5 - bit suspect defensively & clearly lacks pace but 2 fantastic free kicks 2nd half
Knockeart 9.5 MOTM - best player in the league hands down.
Hemed 8.5 - unsung hero. Excellent feet again...
Murray 8.5 - 2 quality finishes - won a lot in air both ends.

Norwood 7 - great passing but got done for pace several times.
Baldock 7 - enjoyed the pace injection
Sidwell - can't mark.

Hughton 9 - Murray & Hemed only works when we play down the flanks - not through middle as no pace. We did just that. Excellent team performance that - Barnsley played without fear & are no mugs!

Agreed. If we had the partnership down the left like we do the right we'd piss the league. We don't though...!

How can you give norwood 7.5 as a 2nd half replacement, and bong only 7. I see he is still getting lower marks than his peers after a good positive team performance.

Norwood was worth that, but now you've pointed it out, I'm happy to move Bong up to 7.5. He has been getting better, and set Murray up with a beaut of a chance, and instigated the move for that stunning first goal.
