Having read the article, it would appear that the project has yet to gain planning permission and will be half owned by the Bedfordshire Council, with 45-50% split between social housing and not specified in the article other housing (private). The footballers will be contributing in the future up to £300,000 a year for the running and management of the sports and community facility at the development, thats the contribution. Honourable of the three, but strange that three east London boys want to help people from Luton and not east London, where there is a dire need.

Good of them to do something positive and being near Luton a lot of the rent will be paid via housing benefit so they are guaranteed a return rather than some of the hair brain schemes that many wealthy ex footballers get into.
