The club, Amex and Martlets Hospice are supporting a public art trail.

Brighton & Hove Albion and American Express® have announced that they are jointly sponsoring a Snowdogs by the Sea sculpture.Named 'Rose', in honour of the club’s original bulldog mascot and sporting the latest Albion kit, Snowdog Rose has been designed by Deven Bhurke, Hampshire based graphic designer and artist, whose public art work involves abstracts, geometrical patterns and fun-loving characters.
Albion fans will be the first to catch a glimpse of Snowdog Rose at the Amex Stadium on Saturday 24th September. Rose is being prominently placed for the duration of the art trail in front of the stadium store, just along from the giant image of her name-sake Rose the bulldog, already on display at the stadium’s North Stand reception.*
The Snowdogs by the Sea pubic art trail is being organised by local charity, Martlets Hospice, in conjunction with Wild in Art, one of the UK’s leading creative producers of public art events. The art trail lasts for nine weeks from 24th September – 27th November 2016. At the end of the event, each of the 45 Snowdogs will be auctioned to raise funds for the hospice.

Tom Gorringe, head of marketing at Brighton & Hove Albion said, “We are delighted to be working with our partners American Express to support such a worthy initiative."Bringing the trail to the Amex and to our supporters was important for us. Named after our first-ever mascot, Rose stands as a great celebration of our history and will fit in well amongst some of the new heritage imagery around the stadium.”*
Imelda Glackin, Martlets Hospice CEO said, “We have been overwhelmed by the support of local businesses, artists, community groups and schools who have all come together to enable us to create this unique trail.
“We know that the people of Brighton and Hove will get behind it, and we expect it to attract thousands of tourists to the city too. What is wonderful about this project is that as well as being a brilliant, free event, which everyone can enjoy, it will also raise vital funds for Martlets so that we can support and care for more people who need hospice care.”
The giant Snowdogs will be joined by a pack of Snowdog puppy sculptures designed by local school children.
As part of Snowdogs by the Sea, there will also be a range of fundraising events for people to enjoy, such as Pooches on the Prom and the Snowdog Dash.
