The Irony - he is sort of person that fights for the Labour party whilst at the same time being the sort of individual that stops it being electable. Peter Kyle is a good MP for Hove regardless of his political colours.

Ooh can't wait for the latest Greg Hadfield missive.

So after a long investigation it proves that Sandell was less than totally honest when he joined labour and stood for office.

If this was a Tory party election where the candidates wasn't totally up front we would all be shouting about it so I can't see why this would be any different

The decision to split the clp makes sense too. Itvwas split pre 2015 and it's clearly too big and unwieldy to operate effectively

The problem you have is that these are people for whom the ends justify the means. They don't care about their hypocrisy. You will only defeat them by using Neil Kinnocks tactics and expelling them. It is probably too late though and the reality is that Miliband and his naive 3 quid membership vote and the wets who allowed Corbyn on to the ballot have sold the party down the river. Still, getting rid of one of them (Sandell) is a small win in what will be a long war.

I must have missed the proof. I'm aware he's been expelled but have not seen any proof or rationale for this decision. Have you? Genuine question.

I'm guessing that it's because they have confirmed that he either campaigned for or was a member of the hard-left AWL (and for some time) that ran against the Labour Party. I believe that's against Labour Party rules. The AWL disbanded earlier this year specifically to allow its members to join a Corbyn-led Labour Party. It does look. prima facie, that Sandell and his ilk are classic examples of entryists.

If true then I'm not surprised. The Labour Party is a democratic socialist party who believe in parliamentary democracy. The AWL are Trotskyites and anyone who espouses those sort of beliefs has no place in the Labour Party let alone as chairman of the largest branch in the country.
