Looks like the Amex seating / standing issues on a larger scale.
No thought given in advance as to which areas of the ground the 'sitdown police' would be more hardline, and seemingly few specific family areas. One seat fits all, and all supporter types mixed in together.
At least we had vague guidance that the ES was zero tolerance, and the back of the North more 'flexible'.

Mixed in with lots of "JCL's" as we would call them. West Ham fans have never been the best behaved, and the majority stood at Upton Park, leaving them annoyed by the new rules that everyone must sit down.

God there's no comparison with us. We were getting max 8 1/2 k into withdean and moved into a 30k stadium. The inrush of JCLs at our ground has led to pure apathy as a previously lively but small band of regulars got diluted by a load of stockbrokers from Hassocks and all their ilk. The only time they raise their voices during a game is to shout at standees to sit down. I'd love it if we started trading blows with the JCLs.

I was listening to a Hammers fan on TalkSport yesterday, being interviewed on how he took his kids out early during the game v Watford due to the fighting.
Allegedly spoke to a copper outside ground, and asked him why no police presence inside.
Answer was they were not allowed inside.
The company that owns the ground, holds the safety certificate, which seems quite strange given that West Ham should own this.
Its a weird one.

Seems like a disconnect between West Ham who sell the tickets, and the stadium owners who use an agency to provide the 'sitdown police'.
I don't know many West Ham fans but the ones I do know never wanted to move. You can understand why the club jumped at the chance as it is saving them an absolute fortune, but it comes at the price of awful view, no atmosphere and these arguments over who sits and who stands.

Its utter madness, not sure how it was allowed to happen.
How difficult is it the draw a family area on a map of the stadium? And then to ensure that it is kept to.
Also heard on TalkSport the other day from one guy that the away fans are able to come onto the home concourse (and vice versa) There is no proper segregation. From looking at the images at the weekend there also seemed to only be a couple of seats gap between home and away fans. I thought we had to have a big gap until a certain number of fixtures passed without incident?
