Albion need to bounce back from a home defeat says Chris Hughton

/ Andy Naylor, Chief sports reporter

BOSS Chris Hughton has demanded a response against unbeaten Championship leaders Huddersfield following Albion’s first home defeat since New Year’s Day.
Hughton believes a tough test against the table-topping Terriers will galvanise a much-needed response from his team after a lacklustre 2-0 setback against Brentford at the Amex.
He told The Argus: “I’m pleased about that (fixture). Brentford are a good team and they’ve had a good start. If anything we’ve got a better team at this moment coming here on Tuesday, so we are certainly going to have to be better.
“We will be up against very good opposition. They play a similar type of game but probably with anything have a bit more pace in their team. We are going to have to get back to what we do to make sure we get a result.”
Hughton is likely to make several changes, which could include a return to the starting line-up for Dale Stephens.
The midfielder, who handed in a transfer request and was denied a move to Burnley on the final day of the transfer window, received a warm ovation when he replaced Northern Ireland international Oliver Norwood in the second half.
Hughton said: “It was more to do with him (Stephens) missing a lot of games and a fair bit of training as well. Although Oli played on Monday (for Ireland) I thought he was physically up to speed a little bit more.
“It was good to see Dale back and to see the reception he got.”
Sam Baldock, banned for the Brentford game, is set to return to the attack.
Shane Duffy’s place in the centre of defence is under scrutiny after what Hughton labelled a “tough” home debut for the record signing from Blackburn Rovers against the pace and movement of Brentford’s two-goal hero Scott Hogan.
