Match Day Experience - What happened today?

Think Paul Barber needs to tell the fans what happened today. WSU only half the tills used. No separate Q's for Bitter and Lager, so people having to Q at the Kiosks. The service was awful and the wife said the tea was disgusting. Having watched the dross that was served on the pitch and players not looking happy and arguing among themselves something seems wrong.
Then when we left to catch the train it was a bun fight to get down the ramps. No stewards, and disabled fans having to fend for themselves. Third rate service and the worst I have seen. Don't even start me on the performance. Hope they get it sorted for Tuesday. The club will probably say they have not had a Saturday game since February and forgot what they had to do:eek:

You have a queue for lager and a queue for bitter, what if you want one of each

Agree about the lack of stewards on the station very mickey mouse set up today. They couldn't get enough people on the platform quick enough to fill up the train.

How can the tea be crap when its hot water poured onto a teabag on a string?

That's like saying how can Duffy be crap when he cost £4m. Tea quality can vary.

The East Stand was really slow at serving people too. But I think they messed up with kids meal offer. They ended up giving out a regular hot food item, any soft drink and any duo chocolate bar for £5... Just 30p more than a cheeseburger. Is that always the case?

My wife paid for her tea £2.20. Gave the girl £5 note and 20p piece. Girl gave her a funny look stood there for another 20 seconds and then gave her the 20p back and £2.80 change. Not sure whether she grasped why the wife gave her the odd 20p.

Doesn't need Uni students to serve pies and pints, Just needs the caterers to pay the going rate for workers with previous catering experience.

Still look back all misty-eyed to those halcyon days when we got the emergency caterers in. There's not been service like it at the Amex before or since.

Source of the water.
Temperature of the water.
Quality of the tea in the bag.
No real issue with the string as long as it doesn't break, the tab doesn't fall off, or it becomes disconnected with the bag.

Felt a bit sorry for the disabled fans, they was even a steward trying to escort a group of people through the crowd down the ramp to the station, until he came to some individuals who had words with him and refused to budge to let them through.

Quite. It's a daft model the club have decided upon.

Indeed. One has to assume that they've done their maths and have decided that the increase in sales won't cover the increase in labour costs. Given the extortionate mark-up on food and drink I find that hard to believe, but heigh ho.

As you've said (either here on on another thread) no doubt we'll soon have a massive lecture on how hugely difficult it is to sell refreshments at a football match.
